Pamela and Mark

Back in September I had the pleasure of working at The Merion. We work there a lot and Cliff and the crew always do a fabulous job. The food is great, the attention to detail is always spot on and the little touches they add to eachevent always make it memorable.

This wedding was for Pam and Mark and I met them last year at our new office, which if you haven’t seen you have to come stop by, and we clicked right away.

In our office you are not only able to relax and get a chance to meet us, but you are able to see all of our lighting options, as well as see how we mix. Our new DreamSpace is even bigger now, over 1000 square feet! During the meeting I was really able to get to know them and they were able to get to know me, which is the most important. Feeling comfortable with your DJ is key!

It was good that they were able to see the lighting too because Pam had always wanted to have pin spotting. We were able to show her that, as well as the up lighting. She had been to a few other places that offered up lighting, but was very impressed by the way we brought more fixtures and were able to make it look more like a wash and not a column like effect.

The day of the event was busy. We had four guys there to get the show up and with the tight turn around time we had, it took all of us the whole time to get it up and set. The result was awesomeness! The room looked great.

Our dance floor was full too! Like most of the couples that hire Synergetic, Pam and Mark allowed me to program most of the night myself. I was able to mix in older songs like "Run Around Sue," and "I Want You Back," as well as new songs like "Give Me Everything" and "Raise Your Glass." I was shocked on one song though, they loved ""Shake Shake Senora! There is always one song that just does it at a wedding.

We worked with Jennifer Childress on this wedding and she got some great shots. Working with her is so much fun and makes for a great night. When we work with friends and people we know well the end result is always that much better.

If you are looking for a DJ, I would love the chance to sit down and talk to you. Just call Kelly in the office and she'll get the process started.

Danielle and Kenny

Danielle and Kenny were married at the end of October and had a beautiful, fun wedding at Kings Caterers. Matt and Dan (and the Mummers) kept the dancefloor packed and added to the room with some up lighting.

Thanks to the always amazing Jenn Childress for the images!

Julie and Sean

Julie and Sean had a beautiful wedding at the Mansion on Main Street. Gorgeous weather, intricate details and a beautiful bride made for an elegant day. Kurt and Ed kept the dance floor busy while the up lighting, pin spotting and dance floor wash they did added to the ambiance of the event.

Thanks so much to our good friend Jenn Childress for the images. Jenn is an amazing photographer and we love working with her!

Eileen and Mike

We really do have the best clients, the thank you notes have just been rolling in this week!

We received the following from Eileen and Mike:
"My husband Mike and I wanted to send a thank you to everyone at Synergetic Sounds, particularly Matt Blank. Make and I were married on Friday, November 6 and Matt was the DJ at our wedding. My husband and I are *huge* music lovers and finding the perfect DJ was very important to us. We found Synergetic through a referral from a friend and loved your professionalism from the first phone call.

I initially spoke with Jason who let me know that Matt was available on our wedding night to DJ our reception. When Mike and I met with Matt, we talked with him about what we would like in a DJ - someone who would talk on the microphone minimally and keep the dance floor packed all night. After that first meeting, Mike and I both felt confident that Matt would give us exactly what we were looking for in a DJ. And boy, did he deliver!

Matt did an awesome job at our wedding reception! I had a *blast* dancing all night. Numerous friends and family members have commented to us about the great DJ we had. Matt did such a great job keeping me (and even my husband at times!) and all of our guests dancing and having a great time all night long. Thank you Matt, for making our wedding reception the fun filled night I hoped it would be.

Thank you to all of you for helping to make such a special night in our lives perfect. We have wonderful memories of our wedding reception and you all played a very important part in that. You all do a wonderful job!"

This is why we do what we do and why our DJ's are so passionate.
Eileen and Mike, thank you so much for your kind words. We're so glad you were happy! We wish you the best!

To see some pictures "of people rocking out on the dance floor," according to Eileen, check out Jenn Childress's blog.

Mary and Lenny

Mary and Lenny were married in a breathtaking ceremony at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue and had a beautiful reception in XIX Restaurant. We worked with some amazing professionals (and friends) on this wedding. Erin Proud of Proud to Plan coordinated everything and Jenn Childress of Jenn Childress Photography captured it all. We created the beautiful chuppa for Mary and Lenny - we also uplit the restaurant and washed the dance floor, giving the room a very warm feel.

Mary and Lenny - we wish the best! Thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your special day!

Pennsbury Prom

Every year Pennsbury High School puts on one of the most spectacular proms in the country (there was even a book written about it). Instead of having their prom at a hotel or country club, they choose to turn their school into a decorated dream land. Every inch of the school is covered with that year’s theme, this year it was "A Novel Night." It looks nothing like a high school when all is said and done.

Once a theme is chosen, the preparations begin. Each year they paint murals reflecting their theme to hang in the gym and throughout the hallways. The hallways are covered in murals and in some places, life size diaramas. The gym is completely draped out in black and is turned into something you would see at a concert. The largest murals are hung there.

Before the prom starts, hundreds of people line the main driveway to the school to watch the students arrive. It is tradition to try and arrive at the prom the coolest, most original way possible. Helicopters, fire engines, trailers, whatever you can think of, they have done it. It takes about 2 hours to get all the students into the school. Once they exit their transportation, they walk a red carpet into their prom.

During the prom, dinner is served and there are two separate hypnotists that the students can go to. But the big show happens at midnight. Each year, the school tries to get a big act to surprise the students. A few years ago John Mayer played, this year it was Ryan Cabrera. He did a 4 song set that the students loved.

This is one of our favorite events of the year! We get the chance to be as creative as we can be and as you can see from the pictures, we don’t let them down. Thank you Pennsbury, for allowing us to be a part of this great event.

Thanks so much to our friend Jenn Childress, Jenn Childress Photography, for the amazing pictures! You rock Jenn!
