Throughout the next couple of months, I thought I would tell you a little bit about our staff. These are the people that you email with, talk to on the phone, and greet you when you come in. These are also the people that make our company what it is, and the seven of them are awesome! So I figured it was time to formally introduce them.
First up Becky, our Sales and Marketing Manager.
Becky, and her baby, yes, she is pregnant and is due at the end of December. Becky handles all kinds of information in our company, but her most important role is getting our brand out there. She follows up with all of the professionals we work with, attends networking events, manages all of our marketing components and still has time to do a whole boat load of other things.
She does however have a few bad qualities - for example, she's a New York Mets fan - but hey, she wasn't born in Philadelphia, so I can't really hold it against her.

Mary and Lenny
Mary and Lenny were married in a breathtaking ceremony at the Park Hyatt at the Bellevue and had a beautiful reception in XIX Restaurant. We worked with some amazing professionals (and friends) on this wedding. Erin Proud of Proud to Plan coordinated everything and Jenn Childress of Jenn Childress Photography captured it all. We created the beautiful chuppa for Mary and Lenny - we also uplit the restaurant and washed the dance floor, giving the room a very warm feel.
Mary and Lenny - we wish the best! Thank you so much for allowing us to be part of your special day!

Kelly and Chris
Kelly and Chris had a beautiful ceremony and reception at Holly Hedge Estate. We are at Holly Hedge fairly regularly and really enjoy working with Alby and the rest of the staff over there. Kelly and Chris's wedding was no exception. They're such a great couple and we're so glad we could be a part of their special day!
Mark and Chris DJ'd their ceremony and reception and we also did the lighting for them in the ballroom. We uplit the room in pink and put the couples monogram on the dance floor. Kelly and Chris made a point to tell Mark how much they loved the lighting and how it made the room pop!
Kelly and Chris, we're so glad you were happy with everything and we wish you all the best!
Thanks so much to our friend Joyce at Casual Candids for the images!

Why our Employee's are important
One of the ideals that Synergetic holds high is its team of employees. And being an employee is the key thing at our company. While many people in our industry use independent contractors, we feel that making the decision to make our DJs employees gives us and you, the customer, an advantage.
The big advantage we have is that our DJs only work for our company. They do not freelance for other companies. This keeps them focused on what our expectations are and they know exactly what needs to be done at your event. They follow a strict set of guidelines of what is expected, which allows us to provide consistent events for our clients.
We hear from so many venue managers that DJ companies are inconsistent with their talent. So we hold monthly meetings, weekly training sessions, and constantly share new information, in order to keep our DJs consistent and up to date.
This model isn't only great for you, but for our DJs too. They know that they have a central management team handling all the sales calls, information gathering and equipment concerns. They know that their job is secure (which is how we can promise you the DJ you meet)! This allows them to do what they are good at, DJing!
The next big advantage to our company structure is our equipment. It is the back bone of our
job. All of our DJs use our equipment. Each year we invest in updating it and research the best, new equipment for our different events. We have so many different configurations, that we can always get our clients the best system for the size of their party and the venue they are working in. And with our team of technicians, the equipment is always in perfect condition.
And one of the biggest reasons we love to classify our DJs as employees, is because its just better for them. Even though it costs us a little more money, we have awesome piece of mind knowing that we are helping them for retirement and we know that they are covered if anything should happen to them.
We think the above ideals really generate a great team to work with. And if you ever want to see what we are talking about, just come out to one of our open houses and see for yourself. Every single one of our guys (and girls) will impress you. And we can say that without any hesitation.

Theresa and Scott
Theresa and Scott had a beautiful ceremony and reception at Cairnwood Mansion. Cairnwood is an amazing place, with a lot of character and we are very lucky to work there regularly. Theresa and Scott are an extremely fun couple (as you will see from the pictures below) and we are thrilled that we were a part of their special day. Matt and Chris DJ'd the reception and we also did the up lighting, dance floor break ups, monogram and pin spotting.
Thanks so much to Jackie Bayne of Love Shack Photography for the awesome images! Check out the Love Shack site for more of this wedding!
Theresa and Scott, we wish you the very best!

The Synergetic DJ's
A couple of months ago, Tim and Lauren of Dinofa Photography came out to our office to take some pictures of our DJ's for us. You might remember Tim and Lauren from previous blog posts - along with being fantastic photographers, we also DJ'd and did the lighting for their wedding a couple of years ago. You can check out images of their awesome wedding here.
Tim and Lauren, thank you guys so much! After seeing these pictures I have to admit I'm a bit jealous - maybe I should learn how to be a DJ!

Katie and Sean - A Wedding for Alex
Last month I posted about our involvement in "A Wedding for Alex," (for that post, go here).
Katie and Sean were married on July 18 and had a beautiful reception at the Omni Hotel at Independence Park. Kyle, their DJ for the night, received a very nice thank you note from them and we are so glad their wedding was everything they hoped it would be.
Here is the note he received:
Dear Kyle,
You did an outstanding job at our wedding. You are an amazing DJ and made the night perfect! I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful DJ. Your song selections really kept the wedding flowing and helped ensure that everyone was having a great time. We were truly impressed and have received several compliments about you. You will be highly recommended to our friends and family. Thanks again, Katie and Sean
Katie and Sean's wedding was featured in today's Philadelphia Inquirer and is also on their website, check it out here. It's a very nice article about Katie and Sean's story and all of the people who came together to give them the wedding of their dreams.
Here are a few images from their special day, thanks to Eli Allen from Majestic Images.

An All Pro Wedding
On January 13th of this year I received an email requesting some information about our services for a wedding. I called the number provided in the email and spoke with Dan Orlovsky (the groom) about his upcoming wedding. From that first conversation I could tell this was going to be a wedding that was a step above the rest. His name sounded familiar, but it wasn’t until we met, that I realized who he was. Imagine my excitement, as a huge football fan, when Dan and his fiancee (at the time) Tiffany walked into our office, and I realized he was a quarterback for the Houston Texans. As a professional, I decided not to bring up his profession during our meeting. Even taking into account who Dan is and what he does, it was hard to distinguish he and Tiffany from any other couple in love. I noticed very quickly that they were great people, with big hearts, madly in love.
A few days after the meeting, they called and booked our services for their wedding. I was very excited because I knew that their wedding was going to be a great time. In my opinion Dan and Tiffany put together an all pro team of vendors for their wedding. They chose the beautiful Cairnwood Mansion for their ceremony and reception. The food was provided by Jimmy Duffy Catering and the event design was executed by ZN Designs. Justin and Mary Marantz photographed the wedding, Beautiful Blooms provided the stunning flowers and we DJ'd and did the lighting for their reception.
In the months leading up to the wedding, Dan and I traded emails discussing plans for the wedding. I placed a lot of pressure on myself to make sure Dan and Tiffany had the wedding of their dreams, not because of his profession, but more from the connection I formed with them. I truly felt as though I was helping a friend as opposed to a client. I wanted to personally ensure that every aspect of their wedding was perfect.
When we arrived at Cairnwood the entire team of vendors worked together seemlessly so that the over all look and feel of the wedding was just what the couple wanted. I couldn’t believe how much energy the guests had when the reception started. The reception was scheduled to end at 11 p.m. - Dan approached me right before and asked to extend the reception another hour because everyone was having such a great time. I was more than happy to stay, because I was also having a great time.
From the beautiful designs, to the gorgeous weather, Dan and Tiffany had the perfect wedding. The perfect wedding starts with the perfect couple and they are the epitome of one. I am very glad I had the chance to work with them and I wish them nothing but the best.
Thanks so much to Justin and Mary Marantz for the beautiful images. To see more from this wedding, check out their blog.
