Jamie and Tony

Jamie and Tony had a beautiful, vintage inspired wedding at Cairnwood Mansion. Matt and Chris kept the dance floor busy all night, and added to the ambience with up lighting, a dance floor wash and the couples monogram.

Congratulations Jamie and Tony! Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your special day!

A big thanks to our friends Tim and Lauren at Dinofa Photography for the beautiful images. They do amazing work and are a blast to be around :).

Lighting Open House

Our next Lighting Open House will be held Monday, May 3, 2010, at the Radisson Trevose (Rte 1). We are structuring this open house a bit differently to ensure everyone in attendance gets time with a DJ if they'd like and gets all of their questions answered. We will have three demonstrations and expect them to fill up quickly. If you would like to attend, please email or call the office to ensure a spot.

We will be displaying all of our lighting options, including, monogram projections, up lighting, break up patterns and intelligent lighting as well as photo montages and draping. If you are interested in adding lighting to your ceremony or reception, please join us as this will give you a chance to see what we can do and how we can help enhance the look and feel of your event.
Also, if you are interested in our DJ services, but have not had a chance to meet with a DJ yet, please consider coming out as our DJ's will be on hand to answer any question you may have.

Robyn and Mark

Robyn and Mark had a beauiful reception a couple of weeks ago at Kings Caterers. Jason and Carlos kept the dance floor busy all night, and we also projected the couples monogram on the dance floor.

Thanks to our friends John and Doris of Costello Photography for the images!

Beautiful NYE wedding at Belle Voir

We worked with our good friend Brittany from Petals Lane on Allie and Scott's beautiful New Years Eve wedding at Belle Voir Manor.

We up lit the ceremony space and chuppa, as well as the reception area. We also pin spotted each reception table to help show off Brittany's beautiful designs, and provided dance floor break ups.

Congratulations Allie and Scott! Such a beautiful wedding. We wish you all the best!

Brides Magazine - this time on a National level!

As you may remember, Matt was asked by Bride's magazine for his expert opinion on reception music for the Spring/Summer 2009 and Fall/Winter 2009 issues of Brides Philadelphia Magazine. You can revisit those articles here and here.

Well, Matt was recently asked for his input again, but this time it was for a National audience, not just Philadelphia area brides! Matt works extremely hard to be up to date on all the latest music and is constantly working on perfecting his craft. He is a very talented DJ and an excellent manager, and we're very proud!

Make sure you pick up the latest issue of Bride's magazine for Matt's recommendations and the latest wedding tips and trends!

A Beautiful Society Hill Wedding

In January, we were able to provide lighting to one of our good friends Natalie Morin Hirsch. Many of you may know her, as she is the owner of Go Festive (one of the best Photobooth companies around!).

She called us wanting to do a few things that included up lighting, pin spotting the centerpieces and doing a dance floor wash. Everything was held at the Society Hill Sheraton. She also hired the king himself, Mr. Mark Kingsdorf, as her day of consultant.

The reception really turned out beautiful and Natalie had a blast. Susan Stripling did a great job with the photographs and we appreciate her getting them to us.

We love working with our partners in the industry! We love even more that they trust us to make "it" happen. Natalie, thanks for letting us be a part of your day.

Planning Help

One of the things I always explain to our clients about planning certain parts of their event is what their guests will see. Sometimes this is hard because it’s not too easy to put your self in their shoes and see it from their eyes. But one thing that you can think of when you are planning your event is to remember that the event is for you, but about your guests.

Let me explain, my best friends wife is a vegetarian. When we go to their house for events, they know that most of their friends love the typical hot dogs and hamburgers. They also aren’t very big drinkers. A bottle of wine is usually all they have. But they know their friends love a good beer and new, cool cocktails.

So every single time we go there, they have catered to us, even though the event is for them. They don’t have a dry, vegetarian event. They keep us in mind and plan an event that will make sure we all want to come back.

Now sometimes, it’s important to keep your values in play. And there are plenty of ways to do that. Be creative, but always try to think of the guests that might not have the same values. It’s pretty easy to make cool non-Alcoholic drinks or interesting pasta dishes for meat-eaters. Thinking of them will make them want to come back to other events you plan or host.
